5 Tips to Decorate Your Home For Summer
1. FRESHEN UP YOUR PAINT
There is nothing better than a fresh coat of paint. The exterior of a home is often neglected and faces the most damage so fresh paint on exterior wood or siding can be a gorgeous update to your home
2. PLACE FRESH FLOWERS AND PLANTS THROUGHOUT YOUR HOME
Flowers can bring colour and freshness to a room. A bouquet of fresh flowers from your garden or a plant from the store can transform a space to look more fresh and bright. Plants can also be a fun hobby or task for your children to help water them everyday.
3. FINALLY CLEAN OUT THOSE NICNAK DRAWERS
I think we all have that one drawer or table where all the miscellaneous things and paperwork from many months can get piled into one space. This summer is the perfect time to organize and de-clutter those areas. Often times clutter spaces like those can distract from the already stunning rooms in your home. Just take a few hours out of a Saturday afternoon to de-clutter, I promise you wont regret it.
4. SWITCH OUT YOUR LINENS
Whether you switch out your curtains, your bed sheets or your shower curtains, changing up the linens in your house can make it feel like a whole new space. Small details like getting fresh white bed sheets, or a new colourful curtain in your bathroom can make your space feel fresh and new.
5. FOCUS ON YOUR PATIO
If you have a patio, backyard or even a balcony, try to decorate it so you spend more time outside. Get some patio chairs, maybe even a BBQ and make this the space you want to retreat to after a long day of work. Being outside is the best in the summer, especially with the warm and bright sunshine.
